Safety protocols

Arise Leadership Academy prioritizes safety and security in all its schools and facilities. Here are some of

the safety resources and measures in place:

1. Emergency Communication:

•  Parents receive immediate emergency notifications through the school website, phone calls, and social media.

2. Safety Protocols:

•  Arise Leadership Academy employs various protocols based on the nature of the crisis, including secure lockdowns, sheltering, and evacuations. These measures ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff during environmental events, weather emergencies, or intruder situations

•  The doors labeled "Exit" and "Enter" are kept locked at all times, and only authorized staff members have permission to unlock them.

•  List of local emergency numbers are kept by the phone or stored in phone

3. Personal Safety Lessons:

•  Elementary students receive personal safety lessons to empower them with knowledge and skills . .

Types Of Safety Drills

•  Lockdown Drill – To practice procedure in the event of a violent intruder. Teachers gather students out of hallways and into classrooms, doors to classrooms are locked, lights are turned off, everyone stays away from doors and windows, and out of the line of vision. Held on or before the following dates:

 September 30, 2024

 December 30, 2024

 February 30, 2025

 April 30, 2025

•  Fire Drill – To practice evacuating the building in the event of a fire alarm. Teachers organize and evacuate students from the building in a timely manner, attendance is taken at the outside assembly point. Held Monthly by end of the month.

•  Tornado Drill – To practice emergency procedures in the event of a tornado. Teachers gather students to an interior room on the lowest floor without windows, avoiding large areas such as auditoriums, and cafeterias everyone should get down low to the floor close to a wall and cover their head and neck with their arms. Held on or before the following date.
