The Learning Pods at Arise Leadership Academy are designed to assist parents in homeschooling their children by grouping students of similar age and learning needs together to provide instruction in core subjects. ALAP will utilize Texas standards and curriculum to improve students' academic and social skills. ALAP students are welcome to attend all field trips with the school. The following Pod classes for K-12th grade will be available for the 2024-2025 school year:

Uniform Policy
Arise Leadership Academy has a mandatory school uniform policy for students. It is required that uniforms be worn Monday through Thursday, T-shirts can be worn on Fun Fridays and can be purchased directly from the school for a $10 fee.
School Uniform infractions:
Students who fail to wear their uniforms for the third time will be required to contact their parents to bring uniforms to the school.
This policy is put in place to ensure that students are following the school's dress code and maintaining a sense of professionalism and unity within the school community. By contacting parents to bring the student’s uniform to school after multiple infractions, it serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to the rules and expectations set by the school.
This also allows parents to be aware of the school’s requirements and take necessary steps to ensure compliance in the future. Ultimately, this policy aims to instill a sense of responsibility and accountability in students while upholding the school's standards.

Sanitizing:
There will be a daily cleaning of all facilities, with special attention given to specific high-use areas such as door handles and tables.
To minimize the transmission of germs classroom teachers will be able to leave out any items they want to be disinfected, including computer keyboards, sports equipment, and books.
Quarantine:
If anyone tests positive, please remain at home until you no longer test positive.
If you are around someone who tests positive:
Please get tested.
If you do not test positive and you do not have any symptoms, please return to school.
If you test positive or you are showing symptoms, please quarantine at home.
Outbreak:
Masks are not required. However, in the event of an outbreak masks will be recommended.
If there is a community outbreak or a school outbreak, a notice will be sent home. We will provide updated guidelines, including a mask recommendation.
Administering Medication
Under normal circumstances, medications, including oral, topical, eye, ear, and nasal, should be dispensed before and/or after school hours under supervision of the parent or guardian.
If a student must receive medication from an authorized staff member, the parent/guardian must submit a written authorization accompanied by a written request from a licensed health professional (LHP) with prescriptive authority.
If the medication will be administered for more than fifteen consecutive days, the prescriber must also provide written, current, and unexpired instructions for the administration of the medication.
Please ensure that the medication is delivered to the school staff in the designated bottle or container along with the dosage instructions.
All medication must be turned into staff member by parents/guardians. The medications will then be securely stored in a locked area.
