The Learning Academy is offering three new courses: 

• Back to the Basics: Writing

• Back to the Basics: Math

• Back to the Basics: Reading 

The Learning Academy is bringing affordable courses closer to our community. Each mini course helps students strengthen academic skills. Students may select individual classes or take the entire course. 

Introductory Special: 

First 5 students: 

  One Course (Math, Reading, or Writing)— $30

  Two Courses — $50

  Three Courses- $60

*Drop-In Class - $15 per class (Students may select any academic class)

             Original Price: $150 per course/ $50 per class ($40 + $10 material fee)

Monday Course (April 13, 20, 27) 

Writing: Building Strong Sentences & Paragraphs 4pm- 5:15pm CST

April 13- Class One: Planning Paragraphs & Hooks; Grammar

April 20- Class Two: Topic Sentence & Supporting Details; Grammar

April 27- Class Three: Conclusion & Review of Paragraphs; Grammar

Tuesday Level A Courses (April 14, 21, 28)

Back to the Basics: Math (Level A) 3:45pm CST 

April 14- Class One: Addition with Regrouping, Word Problems

April 21- Class Two: Subtraction w/ Regrouping, Word Problems

April 28- Class Three: Subtraction Across Zeros, Addition and Subtraction Review

For: All ages *Must know basic addition facts 

Back to the Basics: Reading (Level A) 5pm CST 

April 14- Class One: Phonics, Sight Words, Spelling patterns, Decodable Text

March 21- Class Two: Phonics, Sight Words, Spelling patterns, Decodable Text

March 28- Class Three: Phonics, Sight Words, Spelling patterns, Decodable Text

Wednesday Level B Courses (April 15, 22, 29)

Back to the Basics: Math (Level B) 3:45pm CST 

April 15- Class One: Adding & Subtracting Fractions

April 22 - Class Two: Reducing Fractions, Multiplying Fractions

April 29- Class Three: Reducing Fractions, Dividing Fractions

Back to the Basics: Reading (Level B) 5pm CST 

April 15- Class One: Comprehension & Vocabulary Development

March 22- Class Two: Comprehension & Vocabulary Development

March 29- Class Three: Comprehension & Vocabulary Development
